Community Rating System (CRS) Workshop for Existing CRS Communities (1 day)

This 1 day workshop is being offered to provide essential information to existing Community Rating System communities.
The instructor will be Scott Cofoid with the Insurance Services Office (ISO). He will cover the following:

  • CRS Four Series of Measures (18 topics)
  • Documentation Requirements for CRS Credit (Increasing Community Rating)
  • Impact Adjustments for Credit

The workshop is designed to aid local officials and floodplain managers in better understanding the CRS program benefits, requirements and procedures needed to increase the insurance premium savings for citizens in participating communities. Most time will be spent on discussing the documentation requirements and the impact adjustments for credit.

CEUs: Continuing education credits are available for CFMs through the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM)
